Otto (no middle name) Anton was born on June 10, 1902 (place and parents unknown).  He enlisted in the U.S. Army on July 25, 1918 as a Private in the 351st Infantry Regiment, 88th Infantry Division.  He was honorably discharged on June 3, 1920.  Prior to being drafted, his occupation was as a semi-skilled painter.  It seems that Private Anton was drafted into the Army on July 16, 1942 (at 40 yrs old) and transferred to the Casual Detachment CAS Unit 1881 at Camp Gruber, Oklahoma.  He was honorably discharged on March 23, 1943.

There is no information available on his post-war life.  He died on August 31, 1945 in Portchester, NY.
